I’ve been seeing this place all over my feed so I went ahead and got it delivered with UberEats. I had their tonkatsu curry and I was pretty disappointed. For $26, they barely gave me any curry in the container and rice. It’s below halfway of this tiny 2 inch circle container. The Japanese meatballs were very hard like they’ve been sitting all day. And the $20 chicken karaage don barely had any rice in the same type of container. I’m not sure what’s up with this restaurant and being so stingy with the rice. My container had so much more than 50% of room left in it. The tonkatsu was rubbery not because it was cold, I got it pretty hot, definitely way overcooked. The only thing that tasted pretty good was the karaage. Spent $62 and this is not worth trying again.Posted on Google Daniel ParkTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This place was just… okay 🤷♂️ ❌ *Does NOT compare to Japan* at all. If you’re craving real tonkatsu that hits the spot, this ain’t it 🇯🇵💔 🍗 *Chicken katsu was dry* — no cap, I’ve had juicier chicken at Popeyes 😬 That’s saying something. 🍲 *Appetizers = mid*: - Miso soup was decent with tofu + seaweed 🌊 That part’s nice - Potato salad = literally one ice cream scoop 🍨 for $3… not worth it 💸 - Free cabbage is fine 🥬 but nothing special 🥗 *Dressing*: Not Kewpie. It’s in-house, so points for trying I guess? A for effort 🤔 💰 *Price*: It’s _okay_, but for the same money I’d rather just drive to Super H Mart food court — way better options 🛒🍜 🚫 *Overall*: I don’t plan to come back. Skip this unless you’re desperate for a _very light_ Japan nostalgia hit. Even then, it feels like a sampler, not the real deal 😮💨 TLDR: Dry katsu, tiny portions, better food literally steps away. Hard pass ✌️Posted on Google SalinatrixTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Got the tenderloin pork and chicken. It was okay. The sauces they had were questionable especially for the salad.Posted on Google Diana HankinsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very very tasty! I had takeout tonkatsu curry and it was pretty disappointing. The pork was really chewy with lots of fatty parts, and they barely gave enough curry sauce to dip and eat rice with. The cabbage salad tasted bitter like it wasn’t fresh, and there wasn’t enough dressing to help hide the bitterness. Overall it just wasn’t very enjoyable.
